With a degree in architecture from McGill University and a diversified experience in residential architecture, Nathalie Doyon founded her own firm, Nathalie Doyon architecte, in 1995. Specializing in the construction and renovation of wooden buildings, she has also built up an extensive expertise in timber frame construction.
Characterized by a keen respect for architectural traditions and close attention to detail, Nathalie Doyon’s architectural approach is inspired by the Arts and Crafts style. The focus is on simple, articulated and functional volumes, understated, natural colours and textures, and special consideration for the relationship between buildings and their natural surroundings.
